Japan's Sanyo Electric is entering the final stage

Japan's Sanyo Electric is entering the final stage of talks with Kyocera to sell its mobile phone operations, sources close to the matter said Friday.

The business daily Nikkei said earlier in the day that Kyocera is aiming to buy Sanyo's cell phone business for about $435 million (50 billion yen).
